I made a video for the song Hominid by Return To Netley Things Have Changed (onetime project of shardcore), with footage from some odd behavioural experiments with a child and a chimp that I found on archive.org.

It does not come as a surprise to me that while I was using twitter and other *social* networks, my productivity dropped to nothing. Deleting my online accounts suddenly returned the time and focus that had been consumed by irrelevancies. I’m just saying… ymmv.

Set to Nino Rota’s Las Dolce Vita. This sparrow was loving this bath and, perhaps perversely, all I could think of was Gina Lollobrigida, hence Nino Rota.

Kinda boring, I know, but I was playing with exposure and focus.

A huge wasp flew in my window and I had my camera to hand. Set to Einstürzende Neubauten. I really like ants, wasps and bees.

A Medusa jellyfish in the water off Camogli, Italy. The music is From Nine Inch Nails, Ghosts. For a few minutes I felt a strong kinship to this poisonous little fellow -- he’s just trying to be left alone.

I like cats. What of it?
