Terror Couple Kill Colonel
One of my favourite songs, Terror Couple Kill Colonel by Bauhaus, cut to footage of one of my favourite actresses, Olivia de Havilland in the utterly mad (and terrifying) Lady in a Cage (1964). The film was notable for being James Caan’s first credited role. It reminded me of Deliverance.
Lyrics:
His eyes were heavy
He carried a card
One couple questioned,
the other discharged
Terror couple kill colonel
In his West German home
Three shots from three feet
Dragged himself to the phoneTerror couple kill colonel
Terror couple kill colonelAnd as he lay there
Playing games with his pain
He felt his choice of jobs
Was such a mistake
He could have been a doctor in a soft easy chair
Instead he chose three stars
A territorial affairTerror couple kill colonel
Terror couple kill colonelIn his West German Home
In his West German Home
In his West German Home

[..YouTube..] Awesome song. Don’t really like the movie though — the depiction of the the thugs is just so stereotypical and overall the movie seems kinda like a rip-off from “What ever happened to Baby Jane”

[..YouTube..] @jonasulrich Agreed. But the movie is so full of exploitation, and James Caan is always menacing. It’s a curiosity I enjoy.
